Our mission
Our purpose is to inspire student-athletes to compete to better themselves and the world around them. Grounded in commitment, respect, development, and joy, Pilgrim Athletics strives to create a culture of unity, excellence, and sportsmanship.
Core values
Commitment
We commit to academics and athletics, showing up prepared and giving full effort in the classroom and on the field or court. We take pride in representing Pilgrim, and we show up for our teammates because it takes all of us to reach our full potential.
Respect
We respect the game and everyone who is a part of it: teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, fans, and ourselves. At the end of the day, we are all on the same team, competing to bring out the best in each other.
Development
Everyone grows through appropriate challenge, building new skills and developing the emotional strength to handle adversity. Sports are challenging and often unfair; how we learn to respond builds resilience that lasts well beyond the game.
Joy
Sports are meant to be fun. We relentlessly protect the joy in competition, and we celebrate the moments that remind us why we play.
Every student is an athlete
We promote inclusive and connected environments where every student enjoys the process of growing as an athlete and makes meaningful contributions to the full potential of their team. Consistent communication and mutual accountability between student-athletes and coaches build a culture of unity, excellence, and sportsmanship.
